Double Glazing Windows Weather Proofing

Taking care of your uPVC double glazing windows

A modern orangery or conservatory is designed to be very energy efficient, are especially good at helping reduce heat loss & reducing noise penetration, however, even though they excel at this without the need for lots of maintenance, there are a couple of little things that you need to keep an eye out for.

Window drains, trickle vents and rubber weather-seal gaskets all need periodic inspection in order to avoid issues with both condensation and water penetration.

Window drains need to be inspected to make sure that small amounts of silt do not build up and block them, window gaskets need to be checked for perishing & stiffness, whilst trickle vents need to be kept clear to avoid condensation issues.
